Presales Technical Consultant - Germany

German & English Speaking

Therefore, are you looking for an exciting Presales Technical role within a fast-paced working environment? If so, this is an excellent opportunity to join a progressive international software house (circa 110 employees worldwide)
working from your home office in Northwest Germany and occasionally from our office in Dusseldorf.

This role is working in a fast-paced environment as part of a close-knit international team. It is an excellent opportunity to utilise your communication skills and join our friendly global Presales team. This role requires an enthusiastic, details-orientated individual with a 'can-do' attitude who can provide high quality Presales and Channel Support to our Managed Print Solution Dealer Channel and Partner Managers, located in the DACH region. On occasions you may also be required to assist your Presales colleagues with queries from other regions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • This role is based in Northwest Germany and will involve travel across the DACH region to attend joint customer / partner visits with Channel Partner Managers.
  • Assisting Channel Partner Managers to grow the account base, increase partner acquisition and partner retention.
  • Answering incoming telephone calls and presales queries raised in Freshdesk.
  • Participating in teleconferences, where technical and functional advice is required.
  • Performing online demonstrations and webinars.
  • Involvement in high level presales escalations and ensuring that you are a great ambassador for the company.
  • Quoting German-speaking customers and partners as and when required.
  • Training the Channel Sales Team and partners on both the technical and functional aspects of the company's products particularly when new products and version updates are released.
  • Running hands on technical workshops for iTS staff and our partners.
  • Writing and proof-reading product manuals, technical white papers and statement of works.
  • Conducting competitive analysis of non-iTS portfolio products.
  • Communicating customers’ technical requirements to the installations team prior to implementation.
  • Providing development with an insight as to what customers require from future integrations.
  • Liaising with third parties when custom integration is required and documenting requirements and creating functional specifications.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers to ensure iTS is positioned to provide the best customer service to its customers and resellers.
  • Support Marketing by contributing in writing of product brochures and participating in exhibitions and regional conferences where iTS is exhibiting.
  • Assisting with the completion of tenders and coordinating the company’s response.
  • Ad hoc general administration.

 

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Good communicator with excellent telephone manner.
  • Superb spoken and written communication (Native German and English).
  • Customer-facing experience is essential.
  • The ability to self-learn and resolve complex issues.
  • Ability to work under pressure and be flexible due to the nature of this job role.
  • Self-disciplined with the ability to work efficiently, independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent timekeeping.
  • Thinking outside of the box and attention to detail.
  • A good level of technical experience and skills in solution finding and problem solving.
  • Virtual server platform and Azure experience is a desirable.
  • Experience of print and copy management and scanning software is desirable.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop within a growing organisation.
  • Driving licence is essential.
  • Minimum one-year experience in a Presales environment is required.

Managed Print Solutions Partner Manager – Germany

This is a channel sales role that involves implementing strategic goals and objectives of iTS, act as the main point of contact for iTS partners and customers, build strong relationships with them, with a key focus on sales / presales. Thorough industry and product training will be provided, backed up by comprehensive presales and technical support teams.

Job Role

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • This role is based in Germany and will involve regular travel across the DACH region. The role will be based working from the iTS Dusseldorf office.  
  • To achieve monthly sales targets by managing and encouraging resellers to perform.
  • To recruit, increase and manage the number of resellers across the region by cold-calling and liaising with potential partners.
  • To manage partners/dealers and generate sales for, PaperCut (MF, NG, Hive and Pocket) Princity Umango, Docslide and ITS print and copy control hardware.
  • Actively provide sales and product training to new resellers and periodically re-train existing ones.
  • Always maintaining customers’ and resellers’ records accurately within our CRM system (webCRM).
  • Regularly sending out promotional literature, letters and emails.
  • To educate and inform resellers of new features and products as they become available.
  • To maintain dealer price lists and send out new pricing when applicable.
  • To send out Not-for-Resale licences and set up trials when required.
  • To invite existing and prospective customers and resellers to conferences and exhibitions.
  • Deliver monthly webinars to partner resellers in order to educate and promote iTS solutions and services.
  • To assist the ITS Marketing Department with the content and target audience for email shots and direct mail campaigns.
  • To assist the ITS Marketing Department with the development of content for the iTS  and ITS Print and Copy Control web sites (www.its-group,com , www.printandcopycontrol.com).  
  • To assist resellers with the completion of tenders and the answering of technical / functional questions.
  • Generating a high level of quotations and checking pricing when requested.
  • Demonstrating software to resellers’ end-user when required.
  • Attending monthly sales meetings online and in ITS offices located throughout Europe.
  • General Administration. 

Desired Skills & Experience

The key skills essential for this role include:

  • Experience in sales negotiation. 
  • High capacity and extensive experience of making outbound sales calls (cold calling).
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Proven successful track record.
  • Superb spoken and written communication (both German and English).
  • Experience in managing a large number of resellers is preferable but not essential providing that the candidate has an excellent record in direct sales and especially in lead generation and negotiation. 
  • Experience in demonstrating and selling software solutions or another technical product is preferable but not essential as full training will be provided. 
  • Experience of the print and copy dealer industry is preferable but not essential.
  • Ability to work under pressure and be flexible due to the nature of this job role.
  • Ability to deliver high quality customer service with attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop within a growing organisation.
  • Self-disciplined with the ability to work efficiently, independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is expected as is experience of using an in-house database or CRM system.
